Internships
The Hamburg Institute for Social Research offers a very small number of internships in various areas of work. Internships last a minimum of one month and are usually limited to students who must fulfill internship requirements to complete their degree. Applicants are expected to demonstrate a genuine interest in research issues pursued at the Institute. Interns generally receive a stipend.
Depending on applicants’ interests and skills, internships are possible in the following areas:
Press and Public Affairs Office
Library
Archives
In special cases interns can also work in one of the three Research Units and assist research staff members in conducting research projects and preparing conferences or other academic events.
Applicants for internships are requested to contact the Institute’s Administration; administrative staff will forward applications to the appropriate department.
