Events
The Hamburg Institute for Social Research regularly organizes or co-organizes a variety of events focusing on themes related to its scholarly activities. Most events are designed to bring together invited participants from academia and the public sphere to discuss issues of interest from scholarship or intellectual and political life. The Institute also seeks to inform a broader public about its work and ongoing discussions in the research units by opening its doors for readings, lectures, panel discussions, or book presentations.
Conferences with international participants often have English or at times French as their working language for some or all sessions. Some lectures or other events that are open to the general public are also held in English.
Please note that for some events held in German, more information is available on the German website.
