Background
The exhibits that were presented in this exhibition are part of the extensive estate of Arie Goral-Sternheim stored in the Archives of the Hamburg Institute for Social Research. Encompassing some twenty shelf meters, the entire collection includes hundreds of published articles, flyers, and brochures; approximately twenty documentary collections prepared by Goral-Sternheim; and about two thousand letters. Other sections hold some two thousand five hundred posters (political placards, art posters) as well as numerous other sub-collections of source materials and documents on a variety of subjects related to Jewish life and the left.
