Nation and Society
Work in the research unit addresses transformations in the processes of political societalization (Vergesellschaftung) and political community building (Vergemeinschaftung). The unit’s empirical observations and theoretical interests center on ongoing changes in how power is organized, how collective moral concepts are generated and justified, and on manifestations of social bonds, categories, justifications, and exclusion.
