The Social Sciences collection has been licensed in our database Ebook Central, allowing full-text access to 45,000 ebooks.

Datenbank-Infosystem (DBIS)

Als Such- und Übersichtsportal für Datenbanken weist DBIS ca. 14.400 Datenbanken aller Fachgebiete nach, von denen rund 6.150 Datenbanken frei verfügbar sind. Die von uns lizenzierten Datenbanken sind in DBIS registriert und im IP-Raum des HIS nutzbar. Unter dem Navigationspunkt "Sammlungen" sind die "Top-Datenbanken" der HIS-Bibliothek gelistet.

Cambridge University Press

Access to around 400 online journals published by Cambridge University Press covering topics in the fields of humanitites, social sciences and science, technology and medicine.

Periodicals and Journals in Print

Our room offers 260 periodicals in print. Furthermore 6,000 online periodicals are licensed by the library. The FAZ, the FR, the SZ, the Welt, the Hamburger Abendblatt and the Spiegel, among others, are available as an application on a tablet.

 

Book scanner

Our Book2net scanner makes it easy to scan books and other documents. Please bring your own USB stick if you wish to use the scanner.

You will find 99 000 academic online journals in the Electronic Journals Library. Among them 6 000 ejournals are licensed by the library and thousands of them are open access journals

Daily Newspapers

We have full text databases, updated daily, for the Frankfurter Rundschau (archive from 1995), the the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and the Süddeutsche Zeitung with an archive dating back to the 1940s.
In addition, the Nexis Uni database offers articles from several thousand journals, magazines and newspapers from all over the word, including an archive.
